South Park Bridge
I have not written here for very long time. Best intentions to write, but honestly have not made it a priority. I have been focusing on healing, getting my life back on track, and doing real estate full time.

Where I've been
Its always hard to find the starting point when you've been away from something for a long time. In the beginning of June of 2008, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is now New Years eve, 2008, and I can happily say that I am nearing the end of my chemotherapies. I will be done the first week in January. That being said, I am getting pumped up to start actively being a Realtor again. I am really excited to start working, and get out into our community more.
Its funny how in life you put an intention out there to the universe and wham, those intentions are always met. That is what happened to me this week. Just when I am starting to get excited to start working my fanny off, I got two listings. Next week a condo in Laurelhurst, North Seattle area, will be coming on the market at a great price. I will post it once it is listed. The other is a cute Craftsman just blocks from the Alaska Junction in West Seattle.
Lots has been happening in our Seattle market and I am excited to start posting regularly again.

My community
I found something as I approached Madison Middle school today on my way to the caucus, that I have been looking for since I moved to the city, 4 years ago from Vashon Island. I found my community. All sorts of people walked the streets heading toward the school. Mom's with kids in tow, couples walking hand in hand, singlets, young and old, all like myself walking with a different stride. A stride full of meaning, a stride of coming together and speaking our minds. My throat got a little tight as I got closer and I had to take in a deep breath to keep back my tears. I felt overwhelmed. There were people coming from all directions and I felt as if we were going to what I imagined being an Old time town hall meeting. I felt so excited as I entered and found in the sea of people, my neighbors that I knew. I even got to meet the neighbors I didn't know. We were all asking each other where one another lived, and suddenly I felt the largeness that I often feel in the city dissipate. I felt the small town of West Seattle today, and my heart was really touched!!
